These duties were assigned to the Iron County Road Commission by board action.

The road commission is to assume all the responsibilities for this position and responsible to review drainage problems for needed corrective action. These usually involve culvert placements and drainage ditches. They also reviews plot plans for proper placement of drainage in conjunction with land surveyors.

Also responsible for checking and maintaining the lake levels on three Iron County lakes. They must ensure that they within the range as set by the Iron County Circuit Court. This is done  by routinely checking specific areas on Stager, Sunset, and Fortune Lakes.
