Fire Building and Outdoor Cooking
Fire building and outdoor cooking skills are something we teach at camp. A special fire building activity time is set aside for campers 9 – 11 years old. This time helps them to learn about fire and campers practice starting fires. This skill is used at their cookouts and overnights. Some of the other activities offered in camp crafts are utility knot tying and shelter building.
Archery
Archery is an activity taught at camp. In traditional archery, we use re-curve bows that have one string and no sights. This form of archery always seems to be new to the kids and grasps their attention and interest.
